Ecotourism Programs

Global Expeditions, Inc. offers several ecotourism specialty camps focused on conservation, preservation, and protection of the natural environment and the biosphere. Resident experts well-versed in the principles of ecology and specific areas of interest teach what they know in specially-chosen and often remote ecosystems. Come join us for one or more of the following programs:

  • Bears & Wolves (Yellowstone, MT)
  • Our Fragile Parks (Yellowstone, Arches, etc.)
  • The Living Desert (AZ, NM, or UT)
  • The Pacific Coast (CA, OR, or WA)

Global Expeditions, Inc. subscribes and adheres to the principles of ecotourism as outlined in the code of conduct written by The International Ecotourism Society (TIES). TIES defines ecotourism as "responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well-being of local people." Global Expeditions implements and participates in ecotourism activities that advance the following TIES principles:
